Your data is used exclusively to fulfill your orders, authenticate your account, and provide pet-care services.
1. Scope and Overview
This Privacy Policy outlines how Pevio Private Limited collects, handles, stores, and protects data when you use the Pevio website (https://pevioindia.com), mobile applications (Android / iOS), and related services.
We adhere strictly to the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect only the essential information necessary to provide you with seamless service:
Full name, email address, mobile phone number, and physical delivery address (including house/apartment number, street, landmark, city, and PIN code).
With your explicit device permission, we access your device's current GPS/location coordinates. Purpose of Location Access: We use location data solely to verify whether your address falls within our active 24-hour delivery zones (currently serving Ghazipur and Varanasi), calculate precise delivery routes, and ensure our local delivery personnel arrive at your doorstep without delay. We do not track your location in the background when the app is closed.
Pet name, species (e.g. dog, cat), breed, age, gender, and dietary/wellness records uploaded by you. This data enables customized nutrition recommendations and accurate consultation history.
3. Account Authentication & Fast2SMS Integration
To ensure the security of your account and prevent unauthorized access, Pevio utilizes mobile One-Time Password (OTP) verification for registration, login, and order placement.
We integrate with Fast2SMS (a trusted Indian transactional SMS gateway provider) solely to transmit your verification OTP codes to your registered mobile number.
* Data Protection Safeguard: Fast2SMS is utilized strictly as an infrastructure delivery channel. Your phone number is passed securely for the singular purpose of delivering the verification SMS. Fast2SMS does not own, store for marketing, or sell your phone number to third parties.
4. Strict No-Data-Selling Policy
We believe privacy is a fundamental right. Unlike ad-driven platforms, Pevio operates as a customer-first pet-care service:
- No Sale to Data Brokers: We never sell user databases, phone numbers, or email lists to marketing agencies, lead generators, or data brokers.
- No Third-Party Ads Tracking: We do not embed ad-tracking networks that follow your activity across external applications.
- Operational Disclosures Only: Your address, name, and phone number are shared solely with our own local delivery personnel in Ghazipur and Varanasi to hand-deliver your order within 24 hours.
- Payment Security: Payment transactions are handled directly through RBI-licensed payment gateways (e.g., Cashfree). Pevio never stores full credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs.
5. Data Retention & User Control
You have complete control over your data:
- You may view, edit, or remove your pet profiles and saved delivery addresses inside the Pevio App at any time.
- You can revoke location permissions at any time via your device settings (you can also manually type your delivery address if preferred).
